‘When Sindoor turns into barood…’: PM Modi’s top 6 quotes in Rajasthan rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (May 22) asserted that the country’s enemies have learnt what happens when ‘sindoor’ turns into ‘barood’ (gunpowder) and lauded India’s armed forces for bringing Pakistan to its knees.

In his first public address in Rajasthan after Operation Sindoor which was launched in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, the prime minister said India is not going to be scared by nuclear threats and if there is a terrorist attack on the country then it will give a befitting reply.

1. Dubbing Operation Sindoor as a new form of justice, the prime minister said that this is not some game of search and revenge. “This is not just anger, this is the fierce form of capable India, this is the new form of India,” he said.

2. He slammed Pakistan, and said in response to the attack on April 22, “we destroyed nine biggest terror hideouts in 22 minutes”. He added, “Those who thought that India would remain silent are hiding in their homes today. Those who were proud of their weapons are buried under a pile of rubble today.”

3. "Pakistan can never win a direct fight against India. Whenever there is a direct flight, Pakistan has to face defeat again and again. That is why Pakistan has made terrorism a weapon to fight against India," he said.

4. “After the airstrike, I came to Churu and said, I swear on this soil, I will not let my country be destroyed, I will not let my country bow down. Today, from the soil of Rajasthan, I want to tell the countrymen, those who had set out to wipe off the vermilion have been reduced to dust,” PM Modi said.

5. The prime minister said, “There will be neither trade nor talks with Pakistan. If talks are held, it will only be on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He said, “Pakistan incubates terrorists, and India will give a befitting reply. The time and methods will be decided by our armed forces.”

6. "Pakistan will not get a single drop of water that belongs to India. Playing with the blood of Indians will cost Pakistan dearly. This is India's resolve and no one in the world can deter us from this commitment," he stated.
