After Pahalgam attack, Pakistan increases security for Hafiz Saeed: Report
The Pakistan Army, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and LeT operatives are jointly overseeing Hafiz Saeed’s protection, a media report said
Pakistan has increased security for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Hafiz Saeed following the massacre of over two dozen civilians in Kashmir's Pahalgam by Pakistani terrorists affiliated with the LeT.
Saeed is believed to be the mastermind behind the April 22 Pahalgam killings of mostly Hindu Indian tourists by Pakistani terrorists.

The enhanced security cover includes a 24/7 deployment of Pakistani military personnel and extensive surveillance measures around Saeed’s known residence in Lahore, India Today TV reported.
Living in Lahore
Saeed lives in a dense part of Mohalla Johar Town in Lahore.
The Pakistan Army, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and LeT operatives are jointly overseeing his protection, the media report said.

Apparently, drones have been deployed to monitor the compound while roads within a 4-kilometre radius have been equipped with high-resolution CCTV cameras.
No civilian movement is permitted near the building. Other drones are banned in the area.
According to the report, this heightened security protocol was put in place shortly after the Pahalgam attack was claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of LeT.
Indian security agencies believe that Saeed played a key role in orchestrating the terror attack.
Living comfortably
Despite being designated a global terrorist by the UN and the US and carrying a $10 million bounty, Saeed continues to live openly in Pakistan.
His residence, far from being hidden or discreet, lies in the heart of Lahore, surrounded by civilians.
Saeed is said to live comfortably under the watch of Pakistani security personnel, contradicting Islamabad's repeated claims that he is behind bars on terror-financing charges.
Security around Saeed was increased in 2021 after a car bomb went near his house, killing three people.
Last month, his protection was again tightened following the killing of his close aide Abu Qatal.
